In addition to our touring work, we curate and design our own projects throughout the year.
Seasons @ Guardswell Farm
Guardswell Farm, Perthshire. It’s a beautiful converted farm steading, run by the amazing Anna, who realised her dream beautifully by setting up an amazing space for events and much much more. There is a special feeling about this place, quite unlike anywhere we’ve ever played. Maybe it’s something to do with the fact that our very own George got married here back in 2017. Anyway, we were delighted when Anna suggested we put on a series of events in conjunction with Guardswell, based on the changing seasons, throughout the year. These events combine two of our favourite things: music, and food, always carefully programming and selecting what’s available and what’s relevant to the season.
Loch Shiel Festival
The West Highlands of Scotland - one of our favourite places in the world. So much natural, rugged beauty and inspiration in the landscape. In 2015, our cellist Duncan was invited to become artistic director of the long-running chamber music festival, Loch Shiel Festival, and we are delighted to be the ongoing associate ensemble. Every year in late April/early May, we travel up to this amazing part of Scotland and perform with friends and mentors on the shores of Loch Shiel, one of Scotland’s longest lochs, close to the coast and the Western Isles.
We love beer. And we love playing music. Drygate Brewing Co. in Glasgow is one of our very favourite pubs, making some of Scotland’s very finest beers. So we decided to make a concert series in the Beer Hall. What’s not to love?
