Formed in 2010, The Maxwell Quartet is made up of graduates of Royal Academy of Music, Oxford University, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Rapidly establishing themselves as one of the most exciting young string quartets in the country, the Maxwells are known for their broad and eclectic programming, and their passion for communicating to all audiences. The Maxwell Quartet are Enterprise Music Scotland's Residency Artists 2011-13.

Maxwell Quartet + Benjamin Grosvenor: Brahms Piano Quintet
The Maxwell Quartet joined forces with one of the world's most sought-after young pianists with a performance of Brahms' Piano Quintet in F minor at Perth Concert Hall. Maxwell Quartet Spring Tour 2013
The Maxwell Quartet were joined for concerts throughout February and March by Spanish violinist Violeta Barrena in Glasgow, Falkirk, Inverurie, Killin, Stranraer, Aboyne and Ayr. Works performed included Thomas Ades' Arcadiana (1994), and Verdi's String Quartet in E Minor.
