Formed in 2010, the quartet now performs regularly across the UK and abroad, at venues including London’s Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, and St Martin-in-the-Fields, with tours in Europe and further afield. Currently on the Park Lane Young Artist Programme, and the Tunnell Trust Awards Scheme, the quartet has held residencies at Enterprise Music Scotland, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, St Anne’s College Oxford and at many festivals across the UK. read more >
The Maxwells were delighted to take part in the 2015 Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition 12-18 October this year, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their performances were highly acclaimed by many members of the jury and the quartet reached the semi-finals of a very exciting competition.
